Current Top Five for February:
As you probably noticed, the current top three racers, for the month of February remain the same: 1) Vintage 60′s Roadrunner [grannie545] 19,569 pts, 2) Leap Frogger [KarebearAnnie] 11,137 pts, 3) T-Moble Cell 1 [Pirates of Columbia] 9,900 pts. However there were two major changes for fourth and fifth places.
How does a bug that’s in ninth place in January, jump up four places in February and slide into fifth? A geomule moves your bug some 1,700 miles, from Pennsylvania to the Virgin Islands. And that’s exactly what happened to ST.FU’s Cache Zone Cone [ST.FU]. Oh yes, there will probably be an additional 1,700 miles for the trip back home in the near future.
What’s even better is leaping from thirty-ninth to fourth place; that’s a jump of thirty-five places! At the end of January, your bug has a mediocre 773 points; it’s just puttering along. Then seemingly out of nowhere, it’s in fourth place with 9,794 points! How does this happen?
It’s rather simple: Your geomule moves your bug from Florida, to Tennessee, to Georgia; about 700 miles over a few days. Then takes a flying 7,100 mile leap to Incheon, South Korea, followed by 500 miles to China, and finishes with 500 more miles back to Incheon. That’s a total of some 9,000 points for the month of February! And to put some pressure on the current leaders, in early March the geomule flew back to Tennessee and added lots more miles! (You can do the math!) Well done, GeoJoe [Team4G]!
Will we have a new leader at the end of March?
